Sunday night will feature the Chicago Fire (+130 / -0.5) and San Jose Earthquakes (+190 / 3.0).
The San Jose Earthquakes had a chaotic second half against the Vancouver Whitecaps in their second match of the MLS Is Back Tournament.
San Jose scored three goals after the 71′ minute for one of the most exciting comebacks in recent memory. Prior to the 4-3 win, the Earthquakes drew with Seattle 0-0.
San Jose looked dreadful in the first half against Vancouver. They allowed a goal in the 7′ minute and scored an own goal. They caught Vancouver sleeping right before the whistle to pull it within one at the half.
Vancouver had just one expect goal in the match but managed to score three. In my opinion, they didn’t lose the game because San Jose was better; they lost because their defense crumbled in the second half.
Overall, San Jose’s defense is very shaky.
Chicago put together an impressive performance against the Seattle Sounders, netting a late goal to win the match 2-1.
Chicago looked excellent against Seattle, but they were a bit lucky to win the game with just 1.07 xG in the match.
Robert Beric is a crafty goal scorer who needs Djordje Mihailovic to continue to create. There should be plenty of opportunities against the weaker San Jose defense.
