How to bet the Rapids Moneyline

Betting the Colorado Rapids moneyline is slightly different than other sports. In soccer, there are three moneyline outcomes–Rapids, their opponent, and draw. If you want a traditional two-way moneyline, bet the Draw No Bet option at your sportsbook.

Let's imagine Colorado is a favorite at home. Their moneyline odds are -170, their opponent's odds are +475, and the odds of a draw are +290. This means you would have to bet $170 on Colorado to win $100. If you wanted to bet for a draw you would win $290 for every $100 bet and likewise if you wanted to bet against the Rapids, you would win $475 if you bet $100 on their opponent.

How to bet the Rapids Goal Spread

If you don't want to bet high moneyline odds or deal with a three-way system, you can bet the goal spread.

Let's use the example above. If Colorado is a -170 favorite, the goal spread would be -1.0 (+110). That means the Rapids would need to win the match by two goals to win your bet and you would win $110 for every $100 you bet. If Rapids won by a single goal, you would push and get your initial wager returned.

Likewise, you could bet their opponent at odds of +1.0 (-130), which means you would have to bet $130 to win $100 and need the opponent to win or tie to win your bet, but if they lost by a single goal you would push and get your initial wager refunded.

How to bet the Rapids Over/Under (Total)

Like other sports, betting the Colorado Rapids game total is a popular bet. Let's imagine the Rapids is playing tonight, and the total is 3.5 goals. You can simply bet over 3.5 goals or under 3.5 goals. So if you think Colorado and their opponent will have a good offensive night, you'd need four total goals scored to win your bet. If you think the Rapids will have a low-scoring game, you'd need both teams to score three goals or less.

Be aware of the odds. It's not uncommon for the vig or juice to be priced off the standard -110 price in soccer totals.
